Pr Joseph praying over the people of Venandapudi

Pastor Joseph has travelled 45 km in the Good News Bus to bring the Gospel to the village of Venanapudi, a village of fisher people and farmers. When people see this bus on the roads of Andhra Pradesh, they see its sign, “Good News To All”, and they want to hear more. These people need good news. They have heard of Christianity, some of them even belong to a Christian church, but they have never heard the simple, powerful Gospel of Jesus. They are hungry and thirsty for the word of God.

In the dark of the evening, when people have finished their work of fishing and farming in the fields, they are attracted by the Good News bus and the amplified sound of the Gospel being preached for the first time in their village. Pastor Joseph has a special word for the children, who press into the front of the meeting. And now the men are becoming interested too, listening in the background, he reports.

When I preached to them, they are so happy and glad,” reports Pastor Joseph. “Before that they were unhappy, and it is the holy Gospel and the powerful words of Jesus that have made them so happy. They asked us to come again and again.
