Unlimited: Just as Christ Accepted You

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you (Romans 15:7a.)
The most basic human need is to know that you are accepted, that you belong, that you are loved.
This is a glorious truth, that Christ has accepted you! As he has accepted you, you are to accept others. Jesus said,
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another (John 13:34.)
The epistle to the Romans is structured around our acceptance in Christ, and how, as a direct consequence, we are to accept others. In Romans 2:11, Paul told us that,
God does not show favouritism.
We are to accept one another, in the same way as Christ accepted us.
In Romans 5:8, Paul wrote,
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
As a result, we are not to judge one another or treat each other with contempt (Rom. 14:10.) Instead, we are to accept one another, in the same way as Christ accepted us.
A true knowledge of God will always make you very humble. When you act as if your own beliefs and viewpoints are absolute and unquestionable, you cannot appreciate the righteousness, holiness and majesty of God. When you fail to welcome and accept others, you fail to achieve the very purpose for which God offered you salvation.
