Unlimited: The Gentiles Will Praise You
Nov 15, 2023 873
As it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.” Again, it says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him” (Romans 15:9–11).
In these verses from the Old Testament, Paul is emphasising the privilege and the joy that Scripture had prophesied that the Gentiles would enjoy, when they would receive the mercies of God as his people. This was accomplished in Christ.
Isaiah prophesied about the coming Messiah:
…You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth (Isa 49:6.)
The Gentiles would enjoy privilege and joy when they received the mercies of God as his people.
The Lord promised the people of Judah that,
Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you (Zech. 2:11.)
The greatest joy of Israel should have been the privilege of having been used by God as a light to the Gentiles and of seeing many nations joined to the Lord. Instead, they made it their greatest joy to seek God only for themselves through their religion.
Spiritual Application
Have you experienced the joy of allowing God to use you in some way to touch another’s life and help bring them to a saving relationship with Christ? If you have, recover the joy, and do it again. If you haven’t, pray that God will use you to do just that!

Hi, I believe God brought a young lady to me who was having difficulty in her life. I toughened her a little and she softened my heart too. She doesn't know why she likes me still. It's because she's fighting her feeling for me which is deep in her heart. I have told her my feelings for her. God brought two people together and I hope we'll get together forever. Thank you God and thank you Jesus, Amen
