Perfect God and Perfect Man | Hebrews 4:14–5:10 Sermon
Sep 21, 2025 10

Thank you for following along with this week’s daily devotional series on Hebrews 4:14–5:10, Perfect God and Perfect Man.
We’ve seen Jesus as greater than every earthly priest. He has passed through the heavens and secured our access to the Father. He sympathises with our weakness, having been tempted yet without sin. He invites us to draw near to the throne of grace for mercy and help. We’ve also seen how every earthly priest – marked by weakness and sin – pointed beyond themselves to Jesus. And finally, we’ve seen how Jesus was chosen by the Father, endured suffering in perfect obedience, and became the source of eternal salvation for all who trust Him.
Here’s the good news: you don’t need another priest, another sacrifice, or another mediator. In Jesus, you already have the perfect High Priest – appointed forever, full of compassion, and able to save to the uttermost. So hold fast your confession. Draw near with confidence. Your help, your hope, your salvation is secure in Him.
