From Milk to Meat: Nourishing a Mature Faith | Hebrews 5:11-6:12 Sermon
Sep 28, 2025 65

Thank you for following along with this week’s daily devotional series on Hebrews 5:11–6:12, From Milk to Meat: Nourishing a Mature Faith.
We’ve seen the sharp rebuke to believers who had grown dull of hearing and needed milk when they should have been eating solid food. We’ve been urged to go on to maturity, building on the foundation of repentance and faith. We’ve heard one of the most sobering warnings in Scripture, reminding us that God uses warnings to guard His people and keep us awake. But we’ve also been assured of better things – fruit that belongs to salvation. God sees every act of love you show for His name, even when others don’t. And we’ve been called to persevere with hope and faith until the end, imitating those who inherit God’s promises.
Here’s the good news: growth doesn’t come just from our grit but from Christ. He is the foundation we build upon, the Teacher who trains us by His Word, and the High Priest who intercedes for us. In Him, we can grow from milk to meat, from immaturity to maturity, until the day we see Him face-to-face.
