Don’t Look Within

Radio Version:

Don’t Look Within

Many people want to find Jesus, but they look for him in the wrong places. If you want to find Jesus, don’t look within yourself.

When Peter ran to Jesus’ tomb, he looked inside and saw only the linen wrappings. Then he went home, confused and wondering what was going on.

But Christ had risen, and Peter was never going to see him by looking inside the tomb!

It’s a common mistake to do what Peter did. People look within themselves to find faith. But to look within yourself always ends up in frustration and discouragement.

If you look within, you will only see death. That’s what happens when you look inside of tombs.

Don’t look within yourself to find faith. Look to Jesus.

If you want to know whether you are trusting in Jesus, simply exercise faith, by looking away from yourself, and to Jesus Christ himself.

Remember: Look to Jesus.
