When Your Armour’s Too Big
There’s this story in the Bible about David when he was a kid, and he volunteered to take on Goliath the giant. The king saw that he was only a young fellow, so he gave David his own armour, but it didn’t fit!
We all have big challenges in life to face, don’t we?
And I’m sure that it happens to you too. But I often feel like I don’t fit into my armour, either.
The world is sick of seeing pretenders and fakers. The world is crying out for people who are real and authentic.
God doesn’t want you naked in the world. He wants you to wear his armour.
But he wants you to wear it with the confident vulnerability that comes from being able to face your weaknesses and faults, knowing that you’ve been accepted and forgiven by God in Christ.
Remember, even if you think it doesn’t quite fit, put on the armour of God.
God wants you to wear his armour.
