See how large are the ambitions of God for his people; think what kind of world is indicated by this short announcement. How might those who venture all on the high seas to escape oppression view it? How would it sound to a family trying to live the Syrian city of Homs? What about indigenous peoples around the world; obliged to spend their days on a government reservation? What of the harassed and helpless Sudanese? What of the hundreds of thousands living rough on the streets of our cities? And what about you; how do you read it? Are you on the never-ending rental treadmill; sick of landlords? Do you feel owned by your boss, demeaned by government, threatened by neighbours? You were meant for better things. And God will provide.
