This testimonial comments on God’s faithfulness to his people, Israel during a period of its history marked by serial apostasy and idolatry. God’s determination to be in relationship with human beings, for them to know him and appreciate his fellowship should not be underestimated. At no time in the long story of Israel, were they the Lord’s people on the strength of their own contribution to the relationship. They were his because of the covenant he made. At no time in the Christian pilgrimage is anyone a child of God on account of his/her own faithfulness. The faithfulness of God is everything
