Jesus said, “Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven” (Luke 12:10).
There are many sincere people who reject Christianity and who want nothing to do with the Lord Jesus because of hypocritical and evil people who call themselves Christians. To them “Jesus Christ” is a curse word. Jesus says such people will be forgiven.
The Holy Spirit, however, has no such handicap. In every nation, culture and religion the Holy Spirit works on the hearts and minds of people impressing them with regard to what is right and what is wrong. There are Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists, for example, who have God’s Spirit reigning in their hearts, and their lives testify of this. Others, however, who reject the Holy Spirit will judged accordingly.
