“Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” ([tippy title=”Matthew 10:39″ class=”” showheader=”true” href=”” width=”450″ height=”50″]39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.[/tippy]).

You will not experience a resurrection to a better life until you are prepared to crucify your old nature – the nature that holds you back from being the kind of person God designed you to be.

The things of this world that pamper your old nature must be put to death – they must be crucified. Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his [old] life will lose it, but he who loses his [old] life for me will find [a new life] ([tippy title=”Matthew 16:24-25″ class=”” showheader=”true” href=”” width=”450″ height=”150″]24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.[/tippy]).

Self-crucifixion is not an option for a true Christian; it is an absolute necessity. Without it there will be no resurrection to eternal life.
