Eternity
I want to do a thought experiment with you. First, think of the tallest mountain you can possibly imagine.
Now, think of a bird that takes away a grain of soil from the top once every million years. How long will it take that bird to remove the whole mountain range? Well, that’s just the start of eternity!
When Jesus came to earth, he brought with him a promise of eternity. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
And in the book of Revelation, we read that God will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.
What an incredible vision of the future that awaits you, me and all those who put their trust in Christ for eternity.
