The joy of these beautiful people after being revived by the message of the Gospel was impossible to hide!

Evangelist Emma Tensia is bubbling over with excitement about her latest visit to the Maranatha church in the Musanze district of Rwanda, on January 9.

“Jean de Dieu Karimutumye Sinayobye, Invited me for the second time to this church,” she writes, “and they are still inviting me for the glory of Jesus Christ. They have a network of more than 30 churches in the country. On my first visit I took with me almost 100 Jesus Only books, and I distributed them in Nyamutera church. Another time I managed to send to them more than 200 Jesus Only books. This time I had run out of books, so I was unable to take any more.”

Evangelist Emma spoke to the people about the difference between the Gospel and most of what passes for religion.

Once again, Emma was asked to share the Jesus Only message.

“Brother Mpiranya Fidel, the church Elder told me, “I have heard about you coming to our church in Nyamutera, the good news you shared about Jesus Christ in whom are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge. This is how I needed so much to see you in Maranatha church. Thank God for Good News Unlimited, that they have been willing to respond to our invitation.”

After hearing the Gospel, the people ate together in true Christian community.

Emma continues: “January 9th was a special day: the final day of their prayer week, and I was so happy to share the gospel with them. I spoke on the topic of ‘The difference between Religion and the Gospel,’ and my key scripture was Colossians 2:8: “ Be careful that no one changes your mind and faith by much learning and big sounding ideas. Those things are what men dream up. They are always trying to make new religions. These leave out Christ.”

I thank God for Good News Unlimited for Jesus Only books, because they put Christ at the centre of the gospel. At our meeting, the last day of the prayer week, we prayed for everyone at GNU.”

This special day also included a two-hour concert by the Disciples of Jesus Choir. “It was amazing,” says Emma.

Before she left, Emma received another invitation to return, this time to conduct a women’s seminar with them in March 2016, and other invitations are pending. These journey are not small undertakings for Emma, involving a round trip of some six hours by bus. But the joy of sharing the gospel makes the journey easier. Jean de Dieu Karimutumye said to her,

I thank God for Good News Unlimited for Jesus Only books. We don’t stop praying that the Gospel will be shared until Jesus comes back.

Now that we have run out of Jesus Only books in the Kinyarwanda language, we must find a way to print more, since the desire of its message is so great in the country of Rwanda!
