GNU Ministry In Rwanda Leaves a Lasting Impact

It is now clear that the brief ministry of Good News Unlimited in Musanze, Rwanda, had a big impact on the lives of people in the area. After 8 months of GNU absence, people in that area still recall GNU fondly as confirmed when I recently went to Rwanda to visit and encourage the believers there.
Among those who could not hide their joy after meeting me on that visit is Mr Obed and his family. He and his wife were blessed with a child a few weeks after GNU began its ministry in the area. I had been given the privilege of praying for the new born during a celebration party that was held at their home, attended by friends, family and neighbours.
Mr Obed is an instructor with a driving school located in Musanze. He was the first person to meet me when I arrived as he stepped off the bus, which dropped him near the training ground. The moment he recognised me he got out of the car and could not hide his surprise as he opened his arms to hug me in the cultural Rwandan style.
The message of GNU has kept the family going through tough times
One night, his family hosted me in their house where they had prepared a meal. Mr Obed, his wife and a young man living with them expressed their joy for meeting with me once again. They said that it was a show of true love that made me travel all the way from Uganda to Rwanda.
With tears of joy, Mr Obed talked about how he always quotes GNU teachings during family devotions at home. He says that the message of GNU has kept the family going through tough times. He said, “When I remember the sermons by GNU, I feel encouraged”.
