The Great Invitation
I once organised a surprise party for someone, but that “someone” found out and told me in no uncertain terms that they didn’t want a surprise party. It was a bit embarrassing having to ring everyone and tell them that they were uninvited, because the party was off!
But I’ve got this invitation to a surprise party that is definitely going ahead. It’s not a surprise because it’s a secret. But it’s also a surprise because when you get there, the surprise will be who’s on the guest list. And the surprising thing is… you’ve been invited too.
Tickets are priceless but they’re been given out for free.
You know, I’ve heard some people spread a rumour that the party’s not going ahead, because the host doesn’t even exist!
But as far as I’m concerned, this party’s gonna be too good to miss. So I don’t plan to miss it. What about you?
