Hope for the Elderly

Pr Joseph and the evangelism team in India went to visit the elderly in nursing homes, many of whom have now accepted Jesus into their lives.

Pr Joseph felt called to do something for the older members of society who had been placed in nursing homes and left there without anyone visiting them. They were lonely and sad, and felt abandoned by the rest of the world.

So Pr Joseph made plans to visit the residents of two different nursing homes, both run by Hindus, with no Christian affiliation. Together, both nursing homes have 125 people.

When Pr Joseph and the evangelism team went to the nursing homes, they were received joyfully. The residents were grateful and touched that someone cared enough to take the time to visit them and talk with them.

The sadness they felt has been replaced with joy.

While they were there, they also prayed with the residents and told them about Jesus. They had been left without hope as they were reaching the end of their lives. But the team shared with them the hope that they can because of Jesus.

As a result of these visits, many of the elderly have accepted Jesus into their lives. The sadness they felt has been replaced with joy.

Pr Joseph says,

It is God who has led us to do something for them and share the Holy Gospel with them. So all these elderly people are happy and accepted Jesus in their lives. They are so happy and asked me to come every week to share the Holy Gospel with them and pray for them and talk to them. Thanks to Jesus.
