Dr Audithys, a hospital superintendent, has now become part of GNU’s team spreading the Gospel in remote villages. After first learning of the work being done by the team in India, through the GNU TV programme, he has reorganised his life and now spends half of each day on his new ministry.
Dr Audithys works and lives in the city of Vijayawada, India. He grew up in a Christian home, where he learned about God’s love from childhood. His father was a pastor, and from an early age he was shown the importance of sharing the Gospel with others. Service to others was an important part of life, so he chose to become a doctor, a profession he has worked in all his adult life.
He eventually became a hospital superintendent, a position where he was able to do a great deal of good for needy people. But as time went on, it did not seem to be quite enough, and increasingly he felt called to join in the work of preaching the Gospel. One day he came across the GNU TV programme and started watching, glad to see that the Gospel is being spread using television. As he continued to view the programmes, he felt God was leading him to a personal involvement in spreading the Good News in remote villages.
So Dr Audithys contacted Pr Joseph, who hosts the programme, expressing his desire to join in the work. In order to do so, he has altered his whole schedule as a doctor. He now works from 9am to noon, and then journeys the 95 kilometres from Vijayawada to Gudiwada, so he can then travel with Pr Joseph to remote villages.
He says,
It is a great pleasure in Christ to see the work that has been done in the remote villages and through the GNU TV programme. I am so touched and impressed by this wonderful work of spreading the Gospel. I am so happy to be a part of this team. Thanks to you all.
