Hot Chips

Radio Version:
Hot Chips
I remember hot chips at the school tuck shop.
Once, I lined up for those hot chips for ages. Mmm. The aroma of sizzling frying chips was calling my name, and I knew that they’d soon be in my mouth. And just as I reached the counter, we were told that they’d run out!
In the last book of the Bible it talks about 144,000 people who are heaven. But I’m always one for the underdog. So how about the 144,001st person: you know the one who missed out?
Does God have some kind of numerical cut-off for salvation in any way?
Of course not! That’s not a literal number! That’s why, at the end of that same last book of the Bible, we’re told,
Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life (Rev 22:17, NIV.)
Remember: Whoever you are, you can come.
Does God have some kind of numerical cut off for salvation in any way? Of course not!
