How a Suicidal Man Met Jesus at a Motel and Regained the Will to Live

Bryson’s life changed one night, a night that could have been his last. In his late 30s, he found himself without the will to live. But in that darkest place is where he met Jesus.
That night Bryson was staying at a motel in Tasmania, Australia. His hope was gone and he was feeling suicidal. But hope is never gone.
The hotel he was staying in happened to be owned by a couple who are friends of GNU. They were able to reach out to Bryson in this terrible time and lead him to Jesus. They played some GNU radio spots for him, which talk about God and the Gospel and hope for the future. While Bryson was listening to these radio spots, he just broke down crying.
While Bryson was listening to these radio spots, he just broke down crying.
When Bryson left the motel, the motel owners prayed with him. They gave him some books to read about Jesus and made sure he had their phone number so he could reach out and contact them.
The motel owners suggested Bryson make GNU his church base until he found somewhere to call home. They explained to him that as important as church is, his relationship with God is everything. They assured Bryson that God would arrange a church for him, and that in the meantime he could use GNU as his church.
That time at the motel changed Bryson’s life. He arrived ready to end it all, but he left ready to face life again, ready to start growing as a child of God.

I praise God for such a miraculous rescue. Jesus understands the deepest fear of uncertainty buried unnoticeably in every human being. He comes to us with a blessed hope for not a utopic future but a future of full dependence upon His goodness and faithfulness. Whenever we lean on our feeble efforts to keep everything under balance and control, trust me; that is when we lose balance, spin off and break down. Let us give it all to Jesus. Our future and all that we need is safely and fully engraved upon His heart. The promise in Jeremiah 29:11 is evergreen. Thank you so much GNU friends . ( Halindimana Jabel. GNU-Uganda)
