Medical Camp for the Children of Nandiwada – India

“I have never done a camp like this before, but it is Jesus who led me to do a great service to these little children.”
The children of Nandiwada that come to the Good News Children’s Care Centre are from the lowest class in society. Therefore they are not healthy, and many of the children’s teeth are in bad condition. This inspired a medical camp.
Dr Ravi Kumar, who came to see the children, is specialized in dental work. All the children’s teeth were checked and he showed the children how to brush their teeth. He gave treatment to the children who have dental problems. He also gave the children free toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Dr Ravi Kumar is very happy about the services that we have been doing for these lowest class children. In fact, although the doctor is Hindu he likes our children’s centre and he wanted to come to back now and then and to serve them like this.
So this medical camp helped a lot to take care of their health and all the children are so happy. All the Nandiwada people felt very happy and they requested the medical camp be conducted once again here at the Good News Children’s Care Centre. There were even Hindu people who came to the children’s centre from outside the village when they saw the doctor and the dental camp going well.
