Men and the Gospel in the Villages of Andhra Pradesh, India
Feb 10, 2016 1745
In Pr Joseph Usala’s prayer meetings in the villages of Andhra Pradesh, India, the majority of those who attend are women and children.
Many of the men are more very mindful of reprisals from their small, predominantly Hindu communities. Many of them also have alcohol problems.
The meetings are held at night, after everyone has come back from working in the fields, and when it is cooler. The men sit around the outskirts of the meetings on chairs or benches, often quite far away from the women and children, and from where the preacher is speaking.
Often they sit in the shadows, and from there, many of them give their hearts to Jesus and come into the light of salvation.
