Refuge Security and Hope

Thank you for following along with this week’s daily devotional series on Hebrews 6:13-20, Jesus Our Anchor.

We’ve seen how God’s promise to Abraham – confirmed by an oath – shows that He cannot lie and will never fail. We’ve learned that God’s promises and oath are our strong encouragement, pointing us to Jesus, the ultimate fulfilment of Abraham’s blessing. We’ve explored what it means to flee to Christ for refuge, discovering that He offers safety not just from accidents but from all our sin. We’ve been reminded that our hope is a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, tied not to shifting circumstances but to God’s presence. And we’ve rejoiced in Jesus as our forerunner and forever priest, securing our access to God and guaranteeing our future.

Here’s the good news: in Jesus, we have refuge from sin, security amid life’s storms, and hope that reaches beyond the grave.

Reflection

Father, thank you that in Jesus I have refuge, security, and hope. Keep me anchored in Him – sure and steadfast – until the day I see Him face to face. Amen.
