Almost 100 People Accept Jesus as Their Saviour – Malindi, Kenya

GNU’s Pr Bonifresh Muhollo, and a group of friends went to the town of Malindi, Kenya to spread the Gospel. Ninety-four people accepted Jesus as a result.
Malindi is a coastal town, located in Kilifi County just after Mombasa County, near the Indian Ocean. They arrived a week before the meetings started. During this time, they met people in the community, and went with locals to visit people’s homes. They created friendships and invited people to the meetings.
The meetings were held just out of town in an open-air venue so that people could hear as they went by, and so that listeners could come without having to enter a building. Those that gathered received a message of hope, and learned about God’s love and grace.

Members of Pr Bonifresh’s group walked around and welcomed people as they arrived. There was also a children’s programme held, where children where taught Bible stories and Christian songs.
As a result of the meetings 94 people from the community accepted Jesus into their lives and were baptised. When Pr Bonifresh and his friends left, the local pastors followed up with the new believers to support them on their Christian journey. These people have now started attending church every week.
