The Storms We Make Ourselves
You may have heard about Jesus walking on the sea. But it’s important to understand that there was an important back-story…
Jesus had told his disciples to wait for him, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they sailed on ahead. And they sailed right into a storm, in the middle of the night.
If only they’d listened!
But Jesus still came to save them in the middle of the storm, walking on the water. The disciples were terrified, thinking that Jesus was a ghost. But he called out to them and said,
“Don’t be afraid. Take courage! I am here.”
And he got in the boat and rescued them.
Often, the worst storms we get into are the storms we make ourselves! I know that’s true in my own life.
But when you have Jesus as your friend, he comes to you in the midst of your storms and saves you.
It’s best to be with Jesus. Remember: There’s stormy weather ahead.
When you have Jesus as your friend, he comes to you in the midst of your storms and he saves you.
