Unlimited Devotional Books Catch Fire – Sydney, Australia

It was just another day in Sydney, Australia, when a truck driving along the road spontaneously burst into flames. Onlookers gasped in surprise as fire engulfed the truck.
The truck, carrying the recently printed Unlimited Devotional Books, Unlimited Purpose, had been heading towards the GNU office last May, but it never showed up. Eliezer Gonzalez, CEO of Good News Unlimited, says,
I received a phone call to let me know that the truck that was carrying them from the printer had burst into flames and that our stock “had been incinerated.” I mean, we know that we’re all on fire for the Gospel at GNU, but this was taking things a bit too literally.
This is the printed booklet with edited versions of our extremely popular online daily devotions. The printed devotionals are sent to donors of GNU, who often like to share them with their friends and neighbours as well.
It’s going to take a lot more than a burning truck to stop the Word from spreading fast!
The fire was finally put out but by this time the entire stock had been completely burned up. Since then more copies have been printed.
Eliezer Gonzlez says,
In my experience of running GNU, we often face incredible challenges that normal organisations don’t face. We know that the devil tries incredibly hard to stop our work. But we know that the Lord Jesus is with us, and it’s going to take a lot more than a burning truck to stop the Word from spreading fast!
