Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her (Mark 14:9, NIV).”
Jesus defended the woman who has poured perfume over the head, from those who criticised and condemned her action.
But Jesus didn’t finish there. He continued to praise what she did with some of the strongest words of affirmation that he ever spoke.
It’s amazing to think that as you read these words, what Jesus said is being fulfilled right now for you.
Why is it that Jesus forever connects what this woman did with the Gospel? He connected it with his death. He said that when she anointed his body with precious oil, she was preparing it for his burial. The Gospel is always about the Cross. The Gospel is always about God’s sacrifice of love for our sakes.
And the sacrifice of love of the Son of God always elicits a sacrifice of love in return. That’s how the Gospel works
Jesus is also teaching us that deeds done in love will live forever. Whatever is narrow-minded and mean-spirited will perish. But love and its deeds are immortal.
The greatest manifestation of love is the Cross, revealed through the Gospel. If you have believed in Jesus, you will not perish, but have everlasting life. You will not be forgotten, but live in glory.
One day, your career achievements will be forgotten, your academic achievements will not be remembered, and no one will remember your possessions. So, what should be your priority?

Jason Andrew Toppo. If you don't preach the Gospel, you can't spread or share or teach it. I used to do street preaching, much to the States' authoritarian dismay who put a stop to it and locked me up to stop me. I was preaching it. Spreading it (altho I didnot know what I am now coming to know). Sharing it, in hope that. As God lead me to spread the Gospel, others would simply come to know Jesus. Whether I was right or wrong, according to traditional, State-endorsed religious leaders is not the point. I had one intention only and that was to preach/spread the love of Christ Jesus Who saved me from a fate far worse than death. I've been lost in the world since then but tge one thing I have never lost and will never ever lose is my love of Christ.It's the only thing that keeps me breathing. He cannot be betrayed by those who love Him no matter what the world does to us. Terms used to define donot - cannot - restrict His love, His efforts to draw us all closer to the Father, Who gave Jesus to us because He loves us. We stumble over language, words, meanings. Debate this and that but Gid's Word stands naked before us. Singled out, is the Word of God. 'Three trees on the lonely sky' (TS Eliot) There He is in the midst of us sinners.

Not sure what you mean. Jesus clearly says to "preach" the Gospel, multiple times.
