Unlimited: You Can See With Spiritual Eyes

Apr 14, 2020 858

I pray that the eyes of your heart will see (Eph 1:19, CEB).

When Jesus fed the four thousand, it made a huge impact on the disciples. They thought that finally Jesus was about to announce himself as the true King of Israel, drive out the Roman occupiers, and end the hunger and poverty once and for all.

As they continued their journey after this miracle, “[t]he disciples had forgotten to bring bread” (Mark 8:14). Then Jesus said to them,

Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? …Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? …When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up? – Mark 8:17–19

This story is all about the things you can see with your eyes.

Before multiplying the loaves and the fishes, Jesus had asked the disciples,

How many loaves do you have? – v.5.

They had looked and counted only seven.

But their physical eyes deceived them. They needed to see with their hearts, and then they would have seen the infinite riches of God poured out for them.

It’s the same with you and with me.

Once you see the truth of the reality of the Kingdom of God, and the riches of His grace, you will never be blind again!

Eli’s Reflection: Can you think of one example from your life that is only explainable by the spiritual reality of the Kingdom of God? Then think of someone who might be encouraged by your experience. Share it with that person.

Hi Joy - Christian people know that in themselves (without Jesus) they are entirely unworthy, but that because of Jesus their sins are forgiven and they are entirely worthy and accepted by heaven. This means that they are saved. Of course not all people who profess to be Christians are saved. Only those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

just have a question.. How a christian people sees their self? Are they enough to say their close to god or worthy to be with God? Because their are know that God is die for us and will be alive in 3days? Are they save?
