What the Bible is All About
Last summer holidays, we went camping, and I borrowed some novels from the library to take with me. I was reading outside our tent, about a quarter of the way through one of the books, when my wife asked me,
“What’s the book about?”
I actually couldn’t tell her! There were so many characters, and the plot was so complicated!
Some people think like that about the Bible. But that’s because they haven’t realised the key to understanding the whole book.
The Bible isn’t about religion or history or wisdom. Yes, it contains all of those things, but it’s not what it’s about.
The Bible is about Jesus.
It’s exciting to look for Jesus in all the characters and in the stories that fill the pages of the Bible. That’s what makes it all come to life.
Remember: The key to understanding the Bible is that it’s all about Jesus.
