Thank you for following along with this week’s devotional series on Hebrews 7, Able to Save to the Uttermost.

We’ve seen how Melchizedek’s story foreshadows Jesus, the priest-king who brings righteousness and peace. We’ve traced how the old covenant could reveal sin but not remove it, and how God swore by oath that His Son would be a priest forever. We’ve rejoiced that Jesus is the guarantor of a better covenant and the one who ever lives to intercede for us.

Here’s the good news: because He lives forever, He saves forever. You are fully known, fully loved, and forever secure in Him.

Reflection

Father, thank you for Jesus, my great High Priest, who lives forever and saves completely. Help me to keep drawing near through Him, resting in His unending intercession. Amen.
