Accept the Free Gift

Because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath (Rom. 2:5).
God hates sin because it messes up the lives of the people he created. He hates those who drop one relationship for another when they think they have found someone they like more. He hates those who sexually abuse children. He hates those who reduce another person’s ability to function fully by stealing their property. And he hates those who show no respect for authority.
All our rebellion against God is being stored up to be dealt with in the final judgment. That will not be a pleasant day for anyone whose sins have not been covered by the blood of Jesus. Either Jesus has paid the penalty for our sins, or we will.
Jesus offers us his free forgiveness, but will not force it upon us. It is ours only if we accept it. But in accepting his forgiveness we accept him.
When we accept Jesus as Saviour we also accept him as Lord. He not only atones for our wrongs, he also changes our hearts so that we will now live in harmony with his will.
