“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard’” (Luke 7:34).

No matter what you do as a Christian others will misjudge you. For a decade my wife and I delivered unsold bread from local bakery to unemployed people, solo parents and refugees. Most of the refugees were Muslims and it was their judgement that the reason we did this was to earn credit for the future life. That was not the reason we did it. In fact we did not have a reason; it just seemed the right thing to do.

We must never allow other people’s opinions of our Christian activity to control the way we serve the Lord.
