Overwhelming Confidence
You know the mad dash across the hot sand to get to the water, every summer at the beach? Yeah. It’s an Aussie thing. It’s a bit like firewalking.
I had some friends who did a firewalk once at the end of a motivational seminar. Apparently those hot coals are heated to over 500 degrees celcius. They were told that no matter what the coals looked like, they had to have overwhelming confidence they could do it.
It’s the same thing with how you’re saved. Listen to what Jesus says about those who’ve accepted him,
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
When it comes to questions like whether God loves you or whether you’re saved, your feelings might deceive you. But don’t let them deceive you. Remember: If you trust in Jesus, then you can have overwhelming confidence in him.
