You’ve Gotta Love History
I’ve done lots of jobs in my life. For a while, I was a history teacher! And one of the things about history is that you can’t change it.
Don’t you wish you could rewrite your own history just the way you like it, so that everything would turn out perfectly?
That’s the whole message of the Bible: that Jesus Christ has changed history. And he can change your history.
Jesus wipes away your past – your old history is replaced by a new story.
If you’ve grown up unloved and unwanted, God tells you that you are accepted and loved.
If you’ve experienced neglect or hardship, God says he has chosen you, and he’ll make it all work out.
When you believe in Jesus, you can stop out of your old history and take up a new history.
You’ve gotta love that, even if you don’t love history!
Jesus Christ can change your history.
