Live so that people want some of what you’ve got!
All my life, I’d cooked pasta wrong, probably because I’m not Italian. So, here’s a tip for cooking pasta: The boiling water has to be salty… really salty… in fact as salty as seawater.
Jesus said that you should be the salt of the earth.
What he meant was that you should bring that special ingredient to people’s lives that gives happiness and makes it worth living. I guess that if Jesus had been Indian, he might have said, that we should the spice of life, right? Or if chocolate’s your thing, think chocolate!
But, back to salt. Salt that stays in the packet doesn’t do anyone any good. You have to be part of the hustle and bustle of the world, relating to people everywhere. And, as some of your saltiness will be sprinkled around, people are going to say, “Mmm… I want what she’s having!”
Remember: Live so that people want some of what you’ve got!
