“Every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire” (Luke 3:9).

There are multitudes that attend church who do not bear the fruit of the Spirit. For them these words of Jesus are words of condemnation.

While no one is saved by their deeds, good deeds are the evidence of salvation. A person may claim to have faith in Jesus, but the Bible says, “Faith without deeds is dead” (Jms. 2:26). Only those who have the root of salvation bear the fruit of the Spirit.
