Jesus said, “Do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given you as well” (Luke 12:29-31).

What should be the difference between the pagan world and the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ? The followers of the Lord Jesus will be given what they need when they need it. Because they have a caring heavenly Father they don’t need to worry about food and drink. That’s the Lord’s ‘worry’, not theirs.

Our job is to seek citizenship in his kingdom for ourselves and others, and the Lord will look after our daily requirements.
