“Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 1:18, 20).

Jesus, unlike you and me, was conceived by the Holy Spirit before his birth. The presence of the Holy Spirit in him gave him his immortality, his wisdom, his sinlessness and power.

Jesus says that if you want to become a citizen of his kingdom, you too must be born of the Holy Spirit (John 3:5). The presence of the Spirit in you will give you immortality and wisdom, your sins will be atoned for and you shall receive divine power to combat the wiles of the devil.

God promises to give his Spirit, without cost, to all who sincerely ask him (Luke 11:13).
