Daily Good News – Ready for Life?

“I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live” (John 5:25).
There are two types of dead people: those who are spiritually dead and those who are physically dead. The spiritually dead people who hear and respond positively to Jesus’ voice will be resurrected to eternal life in Christ’s spiritual kingdom.
Jesus leaves his listeners in no doubt that he gives life – real life – to people. There is no doubt also that there will be a judgement, where a person’s life on this earth will determine their eternal destiny. And there is only one way for your life on this earth to deserve heaven, and for you to be fit to stand in the presence of God: that is to have the perfect Jesus standing in your place.
Only those who are raised up by Jesus to life in his spiritual kingdom will be raised up physically to eternal life in his literal kingdom.
