“He guides me in paths of righteous for his name’s sake” (Psalm 23:3).

From sunup to sundown, every waking moment of a human being’s life is packed peppered with decisions. Only sleep and death can relieve us of choice. Today I will have to choose again and again between a path that is right and good or one that lies in a different direction.  Moral effort is inescapable.  What if right was an option of equal value to wrong? Then decision would be no different than tossing a coin. But goodness is a reflection of God; it is underwritten by him.  When I choose what is good and true, I am backed by God. He will support me in my choice. He will do it for his own name’s sake.
