“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them” ([tippy title=”Matthew 7:15-16″ class=”” showheader=”true” href=”” width=”450″ height=”100″]15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly areravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?[/tippy]).
There are church leaders who are con men and con women. They present themselves as God’s representatives but their fruits testify that they are serving themselves more than the Lord. These ‘wolves’ promise earthly rewards to their congregations, but the only ones who get wealthy are they themselves. They claim to be empowered by the Lord but their power is to deceive people who are left worse off for having met them.
If you are threatened by one of these “wolves” stick close toJesus the good Shepherd who cares for his sheep. You will be safe with him.
