Good Things Just Keep Coming
I once saw two photos. In the first, all the possessions of a typical family in the USA were piled up on their front lawn, and it was a huge pile! In the second, all the possessions of a typical family in the third world were spread out… and they barely covered a single blanket.
How important is your stuff to you? Are you trying to find satisfaction, meaning and purpose in the things you can buy, or are you looking for fulfilment in a relationship with the God who created all things.
Jesus said,
I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst —John 6:35.
Don’t trust in your stuff – it will all eventually break down and fade away. Follow Jesus, and put him and his Kingdom first, because it’s only then that you’ll find lasting satisfaction for your heart and soul.
Only when you put Jesus and his kingdom first will you find lasting satisfaction, where good things just keep coming.
