Man Talks With the Mourners at His Own Funeral – Subharao, India

Subharao (L) says that Jesus has already saved him from death twice, and he trusts that Jesus has given him eternal life! Pr Joseph is on the right.
Subharao surprised everyone when he sat up and began talking with the mourners at this own funeral. And just in time, because they were about to cremate him!
Subharao was pronounced dead. one evening. His family and friends in the village began grieving and preparing for his funeral the following morning (people are cremated very quickly after death in India). But early the next morning, as the mourners gathered for his funeral, he sat up and began talking with the mourners!
Word of this spread rapidly throughout the village. The people knew that Subharao had strong faith in Jesus, and it became clear to them that Jesus had worked this miracle. As a result of witnessing this, many people accepted Jesus into their lives.
That happened when Subharao was 24 years old. He continued in his faith, but when he was 65 years old, he again faced the possibility of death. He was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor told him that he would soon die. Upon receiving the news, he went home and began praying to Jesus daily that he would be healed. After a few days he went back to the doctor and to the doctor’s disbelief the cancer was gone. Jesus had healed him!
This experience greatly strengthened Subharao’s faith. He began praying and reading the Bible even more – praying not only for his own Christian life but that the people of his village would also come to know Jesus, since the believers were still few. Today Subharao is 84 years old. Now that the Good News Children’s Care Centre is being built in Nandiwada, he says,
My prayers are being answered! This is the first time in my life I am seeing Gospel evangelism like this and by seeing this I am so happy and glad. Jesus has saved me two times − one time raising me up from death and the next time he healed me from cancer. So it is the Word of God that has made me a better man. I am so thankful for God in my life.
