Spoiler Alert: Jesus Wins – by Ella Rodionoff

I was watching a movie the other day, and some of the people who were with me had read the spoilers on the internet. I had to make sure no one told me what happened; I didn’t want the movie to be ruined for me! There would have been no surprises or suspense.
When watching movies, most people don’t want to know what is going to happen. However, life is different. Life isn’t a movie you can walk away from if you don’t like how things are turning out. Life is for real. It can be painful, even unbearable; in those times we can doubt that it will get better.
So how will this all end? Will the bad things that happen ever stop? We have the Bible, which gives us the spoiler. Jesus wins. In fact, he has already won. When he died on the cross, he gained victory over sin and death and pain. And he is going to come back and put an end to all the pain and suffering. Revelation 21:4 says,
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Through his grace, he offers us forgiveness for our sins, so we can have eternal life. When he returns, we can live in this painless future. Even in the hard times we can know how this is going to end, and we can take comfort in Jesus’ words:
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33
