The Only Thing To Worry About
I’ve done my fair share of flying as a passenger, and I’ve also had my fair share of turbulence, landing in thunderstorms, and sliding across icy runways.
In the beginning I used to be really stressed out. That is… until I realised one very important thing. The pilot’s in control, and I’m not. Once I realised that, I stopped worrying.
We go through life worrying about everything. It’s almost as if we were in charge of the universe!
In the Bible, there was a lady called Martha who was a worrier too. Jesus basically said to her,
Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset over many things, but there’s only a few things worth worrying about – and if you really think about it, There is only one thing worth being concerned about… What was that one thing, the only thing, that’s worth worrying out? Being with Jesus. Why? Because he’s the pilot, and you’re not.
The only thing to worry about is being with Jesus.
