Ts and Cs

You’ve heard those radio ads that say at the end, “Ts and Cs apply”? Sometimes they will offer you a free gift… with Ts and Cs. But a gift with Terms and Conditions isn’t really a gift. A gift’s gotta be free or it’s not a gift.

The message of Christianity is: There are no Terms and Conditions to the grace of God.

But we’re so used to Ts and Cs, that we assume that they’re included. We can fall into a trap – thinking if we try hard enough or then we’ll get into God’s good books.

But it doesn’t work that way. The Bible says

…it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

There aren’t any Terms and Conditions because Jesus met them all on the Cross.

All you need to do is to accept the free gift. No terms and conditions apply.
