Unlimited: Put on the Armor of Light

So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light (Romans 13:12b).
The age of darkness is characterised by the works of darkness. In that time, before Christ, we were helpless before the dark forces of wickedness. However, now that Christ has come, in him we have a powerful defence. We are able to put on the “armor of light.”
If we live in the new age of Christ, Paul tells us in his letter to the Ephesians that we are to:
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them… But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. (Eph 5:11,13; See also v.14).
Now that Christ has come, we are able to put on the “armor of light.”
Paul also reminds us to:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” (Eph 5:14).
In the same letter, Paul tells us that in this new age of light we have a powerful defence against the darkness. It is the armor of God:
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Eph 6:11–12; See also vv.14–17).
Spiritual Application
You have to battle with darkness every day. What practical things are you doing every day to put on the armor of light? Do you just read about this stuff or are you actually doing something about it?
