When You Just Don’t Feel Like Loving
Just admit it: you know you have to love people, but sometimes you just don’t feel like loving. All of us have people in our lives whom we find really difficult to love.
When you express love through action, it grows. In the stories of Jesus, those who are loving are those who show love in practical ways. Like in the story of the Good Samaritan. The religious types talk about love, but the one who gets the tick is the the Samaritan guy who does the loving thing.
And you can be the one who makes the change.
Don’t just talk about love. Do love, even when you don’t feel love.
There’s actually nothing in the teachings of Jesus about feeling loving. But to those who do love, Jesus says something really wonderful:
Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world (Matthew 25:34, NIV).
