Do Without For Others

Life in the kingdom now, and in eternity, is all about sacrificing for others.
Doers pride themselves on doing stuff. I should know. I’m a doer. It makes me feel like I deserve the respect of others.
But Jesus said that there’s something we all have to do, that even doers can’t do! Because it goes against everything we doers believe!
A man came to Jesus once and asked him what he should do to inherit eternal life. He thought he had done everything that he needed to do. But Jesus shocked him with his answer. He told him to sell everything he had and to give it to the poor. You see, suddenly this man knew that there was at least one thing he couldn’t do, and that was to do without for the sake of others!
Life in the kingdom now, and in eternity, is all about sacrificing for others. So, what can you do without, for the sake of someone else?
