Move The Fence

No matter who you are, you can be included in God’s family.
There’s this story about three friends, allied soldiers, fighting in France during World War 2. One of them was killed, and his friends went to a nearby church and asked the priest about burying their friend.
“I’m sorry,” he said, “you can’t bury your friend in the church cemetery, because he wasn’t a Catholic.”
Disappointed, they buried their friend just outside the churchyard fence.
The next morning, they went to visit the grave of their friend, but they couldn’t find it anywhere, so they spoke with the priest again.
“Where is he?” they asked. “We buried him just outside the fence.
“Yes,” said the priest, “I couldn’t sleep last night thinking about your friend and how you love him. I got up in the night and moved the fence.”
The Bible tells us that God has done a very similar thing for us. He moved the fence. Remember: No matter who you are, you can be included in God’s family.
