The biggest conspiracy of all is the one that tries to remove your eyes from Jesus and his good news.
As a kid I was right into conspiracy theories and weird stuff of all kinds. I kept a scrap book into which I pasted newspaper clippings and magazine articles that predicted the date of the end of the world, documented alien visitations to planet earth, or foretold disasters due to the latest planetary alignments. I remember that the Loch Ness monster and Bigfoot featured there as well.
Then I turned my attention more to the shadowy secret societies that supposedly manipulate and control the fate of nations. I was sure that I knew what was going on, while others were in the dark.
Today, I’m not into that stuff anymore. And here’s why. Because I’ve discovered something even better that’s totally grabbed my attention. And it’s right here in this verse from the Bible:
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The Bible says that “God is love” and there’s no fear in love. Sure, there’s conspiracies out there, of some kind or another, but the biggest conspiracy of all is the one that tries to remove your eyes from Jesus and his good news.
